Use one of our common base recipes as starting point! Once selected, add, adjust or remove ingredients. Creating a Met minus recipe? Be sure to start with either CSM-Met, SC-Met, or the catalog number of the closest Met minus item. This will ensure threonine is removed and replaced by homoserine per our standard formulas.
Build your own recipe from scratch using our standard, tested raw materials. Select individual ingredients and click the “ADD TO RECIPE” button. If you specify an amount in mg/L, results will show only products with that concentration. If you do not specify an amount, results will show all products containing the selected ingredient at any concentration.
We are happy to help you develop a recipe based on ingredients not currently used in our manufacturing process. Click the “Describe Custom Ingredients” button to provide a list of chemicals with specific CAS numbers, and the mg/L you would like in the final formulation. If you want a powdered form of your recipe, some hydrated forms of ingredients may not be possible to use. These will require selection of, and recalculation using, a less hydrated form. We will review your recipe, and your answers to questions about your project, and respond as soon as a possible with a quote for each stage of the process.
Throughout the Build Media application, use the Add An Ingredient module to add components to your current recipe. Ingredients can be removed, or their concentrations can be adjusted, directly from their place in the recipe list. If you specify an amount in mg/L, results will show only products with that concentration. If you do not specify an amount, results will show all products containing the selected ingredient at any concentration. If no results are found but you still have more ingredients to go, keep building and the results will refresh! If you are finished building and no products exist, you can submit your final recipe to us for a custom media quote. Looking for met minus items?
NOTE: If you are looking for a methionine-minus SC mixture, please check to be sure your strain does not require it to also be cysteine-minus. All recipes for SC or CSM mixtures lacking methionine will also be lacking threonine and will contain homoserine instead.
