Southeastern Regional Yeast Meeting 2022: Now Virtual on April 9th !
3/4/2022: Updated note from your Conference Organizers at Vanderbilt!
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that SERYM 2022 will be held as a one-day virtual event on April 9, 2022. SERYM brings together researchers in diverse fields who use yeast (any species) as a model system. Research from any area of fungal biology is welcome. Participation by trainees is encouraged, with historically strong representation from primarily undergraduate institutions. All presentations will be oral (10-minute platform talks or 5-minute “poster presentations” with a brief time for questions in breakout rooms). Due to time constraints in the virtual format, we request that all presentations be from trainees.
A keynote address will be given by Dr. Julie Promisel Cooper, Ph.D., Professor and Chair, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
There is no fee for registration; however, registration is required for attendance and must be completed prior to abstract submission. Upon registration you will receive a link with instructions about abstract format and submission. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link 1-2 days prior to the conference.
Register here.
To be considered, abstracts should be submitted by March 21. We anticipate that decisions on presentation format for those who submit abstracts will be available by March 27.
Registration for those wishing to attend (without presentation) must be completed no later than April 8. Please forward this announcement to your colleagues!
Best regards,
Kathy Friedman and Todd Graham
